Designed by the King of the Skateparks. The Former Pro is Eddie Fiola's signature frame, built around the same geometry DNA as the original GT Performer that Eddie helped design in 1983 — the frame BMX freestyle was built on. Forty years later, he sat down with Bill Ryan and drew it up again with 2025 tubing, 2025 machining, and modern BMX standards. The result is a frame and fork set that looks like the bike from your bedroom poster and rides like nothing from that era ever could.

The complete starting point for your Former Pro build. Eddie Fiola's signature frame paired with the matching Former Pro fork — both built from seamless 4130 cro-mo, both sharing the GT Performer-inspired geometry that Eddie helped shape four decades ago, and both ready to anchor a build you will be proud to ride and proud to show.

Buying the frame and fork together means you know the geometry is matched front to back from the start. No guessing on fork length, no hunting for the right offset, no compromises. Just bolt everything onto a chassis that was designed as a single system by the man who understands this geometry better than anyone alive — because he helped invent it, and then spent the better part of a decade winning everything there was to win while riding it.

Whether you are building a dedicated pump track bike, a dirt jumper, a skatepark setup, or an all-around cruiser that can handle whatever the day throws at it — the Former Pro frame and fork set is your foundation. Everything else is up to you.

The design partnership. The design conversation started in 2012 when Eddie and Bill Ryan sat down and drew up the first Former Pro. Bill had the prototypes built and put them under Eddie. Years of riding, refining, and re-tooling later, the Former Pro launched as Legend Bike Co.'s first official frame release. This is what came out of that partnership — the frame Eddie would have designed in 1983 if he had access to everything we have now.
